While I am a believer in that there are many different ways to reach the same goal (i.e. can also make the switch from consulting to private equity -- it doesn't have to just be from investment banking), the best advice I can give is reflective of my experiences and journey thus far, which is why I have tailored the "Timeline" from the perspective of an incoming full-time investment banking analyst.
